About Magick Hook Crochet
I fell in love with crochet when I was eight years old, thanks to my sweet granny, who patiently taught me how to hold a hook and loop my first stitches. She had a way of making every project feel special, whether it was a simple dishcloth or a cozy blanket. Those early lessons sparked a lifelong love for the craft, and now, every time I pick up my hook, I feel connected to her and the tradition she passed down to me.
On this blog, you’ll find everything you need to start your crochet journey. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking for fun, seasonal projects, I’m here to help with step-by-step tutorials, easy-to-follow guides, and links to free patterns to get you stitching in no time. You’ll also learn about different types of yarn, how to choose the best one for your projects, and tips to make your crochet experience more enjoyable.
Beyond crochet, I’m a wife and a proud mama to three amazing boys—ages 26, 22, and 13. Life in our home is full of chaos, laughter, and probably more yarn than my family would like (but they’re used to it by now!).
Whether you’re picking up a hook for the first time or looking for inspiration for your next project, I hope this blog becomes a place where you feel encouraged, inspired, and ready to create something beautiful.
Let’s crochet together—one stitch at a time!
Happy Crocheting!
